ideas for discussion topics/ brief 2/ lee ryan

Does the Government need to review their policy for offering financial support to teenage parents ?

Will removing Government financial support for teenage mothers, decrease the number of teenage pregnancies in New Zealand?

Is there a lack of concern in teenage girls to abstain from sexual activities and risking becoming pregnant, because they have an automatic entitlement to Government funding that will provide financial support once the child is born?

Hi Guys, Keep going! Keep it up! there are some awesome ideas and drafts for fanfics here and I can't wait to read them after the final posting. Also, remember to comment and critique the fanfics of other group members as well - you could do that next week (week 5) after everyone has posted their final work

Pranay's Fan Fic - Elementary - Final

He stood there glistening in the sun upon his roof top at the brownstone, refreshing UV light hitting every inch of his body as he absorbed the positive benefits of the first mornings light.

"Sherlock!!"  Joan was hurtling up the stairs bumping into things as she flung open the door.

"What are you doing?!  Why haven’t you got your clothes on?!"

Joan blushed as Sherlock swung around in full view.

"Can’t you surmise the obvious by your self Watson?!  I am attempting to put on that glow you were hoping for on our wedding day.  My present to you my dear Watson!"

Sherlock exclaimed with his matter of factly face giving way to a slight signer on the corner of his left lip as the joy of putting Joan on edge shone through his bright grey eyes.

"For god’s sake Sherlock!"  Even in her anger she could not hide her feelings nor her joyful disposition.

Moments later everything was on the move and back on track, Sherlock had managed to be bathed, clothed and ready to meet up with Captain Gregson for their journey to the chapel as Joan was waited on hand and foot by her brides maids preparing for the grandest of all occasions.

Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson’s wedding, even the gods them selves felt relief.

Gregson's Grin was certainly something to witness as he opened his door to see Sherlock standing before him.

"Sherlock!  You look amazing!"  "Okay Gregson, have your fun if you will.  Take advantage of my moment of weakness."

"Come now Holmes!  It's not often I am in this most fortuitous position, dressed to the nines and looking at Sherlock Holmes in a tux!"

Agent Bell popped his head around the corner grinning like the cheshire cat.

“I still have these you dirty detective!”  He dangled on his finger evidence from the bachelor party, a pair of pink lace panties with a strange hole on one end.

“You do still value your life don’t you Marcus?”

“Are you seriously going to threaten a police officer?!”  Bell remarked unable to wipe the grin from his face.

“Apologies agent Bell, maybe we should then infer to the numerous skeletons you have in your closet that I am privy to, like that time at Hotel Delaminate?”

Bell’s grin swiftly turned into a look of terror.

“Gregson he never plays fair, sometimes I just want to shoot him and be done with it.”

All three broke out in to hysterics and banter went on about the amusing details of the night prior.

On the outskirts of the city approached a dark as night Lamborghini, roaring past the Welcome to New York sign.  Inside sat a man tall, well built and present to his task.

I am along way from home, he thought.  If she is here I’ll find her.  He fought his internal demons about how to handle her when he did, his foot dove into the gas pedal that much deeper as the car ripped into New York City.

Mean while Joan was on the way to the Chapel with her brides maids.

Mrs. Watson gave her daughter a loving look.

“Joanne, I never thought I would get to see you in your wedding dress looking so lovely!”

“Geez thanks Mum!”  The anger and slight shame rose up inside of her.  No surprise coming from a hardened Chinese woman like her.

“I didn’t mean it like that dear!  Its just that you have had such a bad track record with men and then after you became an investigator seeing all those horrible things I thought that would ruin you for sure.”

“Well I am not ruin mum!”

Mrs. Watson didn’t even flinch.

“Well that’s all over with now anyway, my darling girl is getting married to a genius and famous detective and she is the most beautiful and happy I have ever seen her.”

She gave that well placed mothers smile that every child works hard for, Joan even in her disbelief smiled.

They pulled up to the entrance of the chapel surrounded by vehicles everywhere as the press from several news agencies flashed their cameras.

The girls all smiled, they were about to receive the moment of fame and a whole lot more.

Once inside Joan was worrying like a pre-med student.

“Where the hell is that man?!  I’ll kill him if he’s late!”

Bell, Gregson and Sherlock arrived around the back, Sherlock started feeling unwell.

“You alright Sherlock?”  You look like you’re gonna throw up?”

“Can you feel that?”  “Yeah its Sherlock Holmes finally scared of something and it’s priceless.”  Bell remarked.

“No!  Something’s not right, it all feels off.”  He started thinking rapidly, he had worked this day and its details down to the bone and something was not right.

As they walked in through the back to prepare for the ceremony Sherlock’s mind worked hard as chills ran down his spine.

A Lamborghini skid to a stop outside St. Paul's Chapel.

The magic moment was happening, Joan in all her beauty began to walk down the aisle as the music played proudly in the background and all the guests got to their feet.

There was an explosion of streaming smoke in front of the Pastor.

Sherlock’s jaw dropped, and for the first time in a long time horror was on his face.

“Irene!”

Joan stopped in her tracks screamed ever so slightly.

“Hanna!  What the hell are you doing?!”

“That’s Professor Hanna Moriarty to you dear sister!”

Things had just gone from perfect to absolute hell, Sherlock came out of his body comma to step forward.

“You need to come with me!”

“I have got some unfinished business first”. Exclaimed a thundering voice standing at the church doors.

In walks a tall man in a noticeably expensive suit, conviction in his eyes and quite obviously murder on his mind.

“I am Bruce Wayne of Gotham City!  And that woman will answer for her crimes!”

lee ryan/ Silent Night

"It has all been arranged" Bella brushed her hand over Renesmee's golden curls.

"Fine...but since I have been such a great student...let me go overseas to the Amazons..with Zafrina..for a vacation." She decided protesting was going to fail so she might as well start negotiating instead. Seems this might be a more successful approach.

"Absolutely not...you know the danger" gasped Bella.

"Just for a week...let Jake come as well I'll be safe with him around...even you know that" Renesmee smirked at the thought she might actually have success with this argument.

She knew her mother couldn't deny that Jacob was the best protection. Shapeshifter, gigantic wolf, totally dedicated to protect her life over his own. Even still, all the danger and precautions taken over the recent years, allowing this request to be fulfilled was unbelievably wrong.

Renesmee concentrated on her mother agreeing to her request over and over in her mind...and to her total amazement  her mother agreed.
Looking confused, rather like she was waiting for the real answer from her mother. But no corrections, her positive thinking had worked.
"Really?" Renesmee whispered to herself, now more baffled than satisfied at the outcome.

Depart.

" Final call for Flight 398 departing from gate 7. Please begin boarding now..." announced the attendant.

" Far out Ness, why do we have to go to the Amazon? Couldn't you just go to somewhere like Tahiti or..." Renesmee interrupted.
" C'mon Jake, dont you want to wrestle some Amazon wildlife?" she giggled "Gorillas, Panthers, Alligators...bet they are more aggressive than these tame animals we have here".

He thought for a bit and concluded that it would be fun to take down a gorilla or maybe a hippo or maybe even a huge anaconda.

"Hmmm maybe, actually not a bad mission while I'm there" he smiled "You can take a photo and send it back to your Dad." He laughed and winked at Renesmee because they both knew Edward would not see the humor in their activity.

" Here we go" Excited but still miffed that they weren't going to Tahiti, Jake rolled his eyes and smirked as he handed his pass to the attendant.

Awakenings.

"Unbelievably rich blood, very acceptable Xavier." A deep voice compliments her successful collection of ripe humans from the neighboring village.

"Tell me about your Cullen's." The voice inquires as he hides in the shadows.

"I hear them in the night hours, speaking as thought they love this half breed child possessing our immortal gifts!" She cringed at the thought.

"Wolves as protectors of these Cullen's!" her disapproval increased rapidly "You need to give me your permission." She stated sharply as a violent hiss whipped the end of her words.

"What are your wishes my child?" he asked curiously.

"I want to..." hesitating a moment, Xavier tried to align the correct word to the swirling thoughts so frantically trying to escape.

" I want to...be her".

Arrival.

"Nearly there" Renesmee nudges Jacob.

"Awesome" he states in a half dazed response and then drifts back to sleep.

As Renesmee stares at the midnight sky through her porthole window, she notices the tiny lights beginning to illuminate the ground beneath her. Just as the plane lands on the airstrip a jolt shakes the entire plane.

She closes her eyes for a moment feeling relieved the long flight is over. Suddenly a strange feeling comes over her as if she was being watched. Opening her eyes she looks around and finds nothing out of the ordinary.

And then she hears it just as clear as if the person was sitting next to her, but the only person there was, Jacob. Sleeping and snoring really loudly. She looked at his mouth and waited to see if he was talking in his sleep. No reactions. She heard it again this time louder, as if completely on top of her.

"I'm waiting...for you." Undoubtedly the most terrifying voice she had ever heard.

"I know" Renesmee answered.

" You ok Ness?" Jacob opens one eyelid and looks at her.

" I need to go now:"

"Ness?..Are you..."She cut him off mid sentence.

"We have to go now."

Departing for the jungle Jacob phased into his wolf form and they darted into the darkness, on the path to The Amazons home, Jacob searching for an animal on the way, Renesmee searching for... something else.

"Nothing" Jacob thought to himself and paused for a minute.

In the distance he heard the movement but before he could process the exact location something darted at him, a stabbing pain shot into his brain. He fell to the ground returning to his human form.

"Jacob"

Focusing on the throbbing ache in his head he could make out a voice whispering. Not a stranger but not familiar either...

"Your mine now"

Pranay's Fanfiction - Elementary - Planning/Draft

http://www.breksat.com/up/uploads/13550473161.jpg
My idea is to do a fan fiction on Elementary a USA based TV series on a modern take on the cases of Sherlock Holmes, with the detective now living in New York City.

Here is a link to some basic information on Elementary from IMDB

A Link to the official website

Loop-Hole
Sherlock is about to get deported from New York when Joan comes up with a lie to keep Sherlock from leaving, it all turns wild as the lie to have been seeing each other goes crazy and Sherlock solves the greatest mystery try of them all...Love.

The idea of having a false marriage and bringing Sherlock and Joan so close together under the lie is pretty cool.  Helped bring about my ideas.

The grinch stole Sherlock's joy
A short fanfic of a scene in the brownstone with Sherlock and Joan.

Gives a great idea to the beginning of my fanfic with a little more detail :)

That's My Line
Christmas at Elementary and the introduction of Gladstone Watson's pet dog that becomes the guinea pig for many of Sherlocke's experiments.

I enjoyed some of the dialog and how Gladstone is introduced into this version of Sherlock Holmes.

Shake it out
The introduction of Moriarty through Adam from a previous episode.

I personally thought that Adam could become Moriarty in the original episode though to young naturally lead to becoming a side kick for Moriarty maybe even an understudy.

Eyes So Bright, He Forgot How to Breathe
Off shoot of a scene in a original episode when Sherlock talks about Irene.  Though this gives a little more than normal.

Its nice to see a little more of Irene and it helped me connect the dots in a strange way that she could become Moriarty with the ultimate game.

He stood there glistening in the sun upon his roof top at the brownstone, refreshing UV light hitting every inch of his body as he absorbed the positive benefits of the first mornings light.

"Sherlock!!"  Joan was hurtling up the stairs bumping into things as she flung open the door.

"Sherlock!  You look amazing!"  "Okay Gregson, have your fun if you will.  Take advantage of my moment of weakness."

Sherlock managed to smile in a way that Captain Gregson had never seen before, true happiness coming through Sherlock Holmes.

"Come now Holmes!  It's not often I am in this most fortuitous position, dressed to the nines and looking at Sherlock Holmes in a tux."
